Called also horned lark. -- Shore plover (Zo?l.), a large-billed Australian plover (Esacus magnirostris). It lives on the seashore, and feeds on crustaceans, etc. -- Shore teetan (Zo?l.), the rock pipit (Anthus obscurus). [Prov. Eng.]
